Updates about the India trip(;
Day 1(17/10):
Spend the day on the flights, transition. First meal in India was at Near East Restaurant. Cool thing is when we were on the flight to Bombay, they mention that our school were on board with them. LOL. And the people there were celebrating Deepavali, known as Diwali in India, they can put fire cracker themselves, it's really cool but very noisy.
Day 2(18/10):
Tour around Ashram. Went for lunch near Ashram, then Cafe Coffee Day, toured around Old Delhi and New Delhi. Went to the India Gate and pass by the Parliament house. Akshardham was really nice, the sculpture was really very fine. It was a pity that cameras were not allowed.
Day 3(19/10):
Went to Taj Mahal, on the way there saw many things, but half the time i was sleeping. Lol. The breakfast was really good, i kept repeating that i don't mind having them for breakfast everyday. LOL! The people there were celebrating one festival, whereby the sister will tie a red string on to someone that she treats as a brother and my brother is Daoqian(: And the best of all is i embarrass myself during dinner time. People whom sat on the same table will know what i mean. Haha.
Day 4(20/10):
Went to Mount Carmel School, Anand Niketan. Tour around the school, interacted with the students there, they were really nice. Went for sightseeing with those students that came over to our school last July, had dinner with them too. Made new friends(:
Day 5(21/10):
Went to Mount Carmel School, Dwarka. Tour around the school, we even went to the kindergarten school. They have got rock band in the school, very cool. But it is a pity that not the whole band was present to perform for us. This time met students whom had failed to make it through for the interview to go to Singapore, they interacted with us for awhile then they went back for their lessons. We then met the children from Mount Carmel Shiksha Kendra. They performed for us. They were really cute(; There is this boy that i assist in helping him to make the t-shirt and airplane, he is really adorable(; Had lunch at the French Restaurant, international buffet. Then went for some shopping, the mall was 1km long. LOL! We then went to Red fort. The boys were like dozing off. Haha. Had dinner at the restaurant that i embarrassed myself.
Day 6(22/10):
Went to Mount Carmel School, Dwarka. This time we were doing the activities for different group of children, due to time constraint, we didn't get to interact with the children much. Went to see the place that the slum children stay at. Really pity them very much hope to do more for them. We then went to shop at Delhi Haat. Had subway for dinner(:
Day 7(23/10):
Went for shopping in the morning, went to this restaurant that serve 16 dishes for lunch, the food was really good. Finally attempt to use fingers to have our meals, great experience(: Went to shop again.
Day 8(24/10);
Went to Memorial of Manhatma Ghandi. Then we went to do some last minute shopping before heading to the airport. Biding goodbye has always been the last thing i want to do.
Overall, i think that the trip was really meaningful and fun not to forget about the people that went, we really had great bonding(: Hope to go again :D
